Happy Thanksgiving Weekend

d27cb5c5be48e0617f5272f209b93f5eHappy Thanksgiving Everybody. Well, everybody American. I don’t suppose you British are celebrating our Thanksgiving. Not that you cannot. We did colonize this great land for you guys. Sorry about going back on that by the way, it’s just that…

Well, let’s leave the past in the past.

The RG had a few technical problems this week and the IT guys were still too busy ROTFL about ObamaCare Rollout to fix for me. I do hope you all had your ObamaCare Thanksgiving food preparation chats, though.

Anyway, things the RG is thankful for this year:

I am thankful I don’t have to spend hours and hours of my valuable time watching captive-audience ad spots and fending off pop ups at TheDC, while waiting to read or view a story. The RG is a capitalist, but enough is E-FREAKING-NOUGH.

I’ll admit, I can’t do without my morning Treacher, but TheDC is reminding me more of the Sunday New York Times (1 lb. of news and 50 lb. of ad copy) every time I visit.

In fairness, since dear Andrew Breitbart died his aggregate sites seem to be suffering from the same malady. Now that they’ve lost both Dana Loesch and Lee Stranahan, RRG feels like an orphan over there, as well. Thank God I can still go to Hot Air, Memeorandum, Drudge and Twitchy and let them do the heavy lifting.

And of course I am very grateful to those of you who read RRG everyday. Our readership has really grown this year. Who knew there were this many Americans without a life?

Just kidding.

Also, I am enormously thankful for the new blog friends I have made this year. Gene at Blackmailers Don’t Shoot, you are a fine writer and a joy to read, and although we may disagree on the exact, er, position in which Mary Carey can best serve our country, be assured we will not be on opposite ends, er, sides come Election Day.

Dead Dickie Nixon, both of your blogs, Dead Republican and Dead Citizens, are among my daily must reads. From your insightful opinion to your choices of relevant reblogs, I appreciate getting the word everyday, brother.

Domestic Geek Girl, thanks to our mutual blog buddy Blackie, you have become a haven from the political storm out here. Bless you, your hero hubby, and the New One! Being Number 1 Son in our own Anglo-Asian family I know what joy you must be experiencing. Firsts are a big thing with us guys, huh?

Mike at That Mr. G Guy’s Blog, I hope you are enjoying Florida, buddy. When you return to the grind I look forward to helping you and all of your fine South Carolinians bury Lindsey Graham in the moldy stacks of history.

There are so many others: The Mad Jewess, hogewash, Bob Belvedere at Camp of the Saints, The Daily Gator, The Last Refuge, Lonely Conservative, well, the list goes on; you are all vital in the fight to take our nation back. Don’t ever be silent.

Finally, The Other McCain. RS, Smitty, Wombat-socho, thanks for the leg up. You guys don’t have to be so kind, and that you are is an inspiration to those of us out here in the bush who just want to say a few things.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Aw man. Now I’m all misty. Seriously, though, thanks for the support. You’re one of the people who kept me from ditching my blog and writing about food and video games.

You just need to compile a huge list of people for me to follow. I eat up your blog posts like candy. Really, I have a problem. 😉
