Obviously Diane Blair’s papers chronicling her friendship with Hillary Clinton were never supposed to see the light of day. The papers are a little astonishing for their candor, if it is possible to be very astonished by anything any longer.
But the late Arkansas poli-sci professor and Tyson Foods’ counsel’s wife constituted something of an anomaly in Mrs. Clinton’s life: someone to whom she actually spoke the truth.
This has been zinging around the blogosphere and news radio for several days, and most commentary dwells on the former FLOTUS’s mannish ruthlessness.
I mean, look up so·cio·path noun \ˈsō-sē-ə-ˌpath, ˈsō-sh(ē-)ə-\ in Merriam Webster. You know? From Bosnia to Supreme Court appointments and everything in between, the woman seems devoid of feeling or compassion for anyone other than herself. It quickly becomes apparent (and the notes, letters and diaries cover more than two decades) that for her entire life Hillary Clinton has been motivated by nothing if not her own self-interest.
But beyond all of that, the Regular Guy was most surprised by her seeming lack of concern for women. I mean, as in The Movement? For decades I have believed that Hillary Clinton was the lesbian lovechild of Betty Friedan and Helen Gurley Brown.
Wow! was I surprised.
It appears that beyond her duties as First Lady, Hillary Clinton was also First Enabler.
“It was a lapse, but she says to his credit he tried to break it off, tried to pull away, tried to manage someone who was clearly a ‘narcissistic loony toon’; but it was beyond control,” wrote Blair.
“HRC insists, no matter what people say, it was gross inappropriate behavior but it was consensual (was not a power relationship) and was not sex within any real meaning (standup, liedown, oral, etc.) of the term.”
So it is now safe to say that is really isn’t is and Bill was right all along? Copulation (standup, liedown, oral, etc.) isn’t really copulation if it doesn’t involve, what, chains and midgets?
‘Little Blue Dress‘ makers everywhere will be astounded.
Hillary’s unique take on male depredation was not isolated to Bill’s ‘affairs,’ however; bimbo eruption nuisances were nonpartisan with her.
Hillary Clinton’s blunt assessments were not confined to Monica Lewinsky. In a Dec. 3, 1993, diary entry, Blair recounted a conversation with the first lady about “Packwood”—a reference to then-Sen. Bob Packwood, an influential Republican on health care embroiled in a sexual harassment scandal.
“HC tired of all those whiney women, and she needs him on health care,” wrote Blair. “I told her I’d been bonding w. creeps; she said that was the story of her whole past year. Fabio incident—sweeping her up, sending her roses.”
‘Whiney’ being the official women’s movement appellation for young women in Washington who aren’t smart enough to just give the old fart head and forget about it.
In the end, we find that being the wife of the nation’s first rapist-in-chief is not nearly as daunting a task for Hillary, as destroying anyone she perceived to be an enemy of the man who was paving her road to being the Forty-something President of the United States.
True love. Ain’t it grand?
