Sandra Fluke, the Rosa Parks of women’s reproductive rights, was so busy trying to make herself relevant after this week’s SCOTUS decision for Hobby Lobby that some of you might have missed this like I did.
Last night former National Organization for Women President Patricia Ireland made an appearance on Fox News’ Hannity to discuss the Supreme Court’s decision on Hobby Lobby earlier this week. When asked by Hannity how many forms of contraception Hobby Lobby offers employees, Ireland had no idea. The answer is: 16 different kinds.
Hannity: Do you know how many kinds of birth control Hobby Lobby offered as part of their plan?
Ireland: I don’t know.
Again, as a reminder:
The Green family has no moral objection to the use of 16 of 20 preventive contraceptives required in the mandate, and Hobby Lobby will continue its longstanding practice of covering these preventive contraceptives for its employees. However, the Green family cannot provide or pay for four potentially life-threatening drugs and devices. These drugs include Plan B and Ella, the so-called morning-after pill and the week-after pill. Covering these drugs and devices would violate their deeply held religious belief that life begins at the moment of conception, when an egg is fertilized.
B-b-b but… what’s that got to do with anything, Sean Hannity? Patricia Ireland has spent her life devoted to causes for which she had almost no pertinent facts at all.
When you have a husband and a lesbian lover across town, you’re too danged busy juggling shuttle schedules to keep up on every little thing.
Well, Ireland is right about one thing: Hobby Lobby doesn’t offer the most ‘effective’ forms of birth control; like premeditated infanticide abortion or RU-486, Plan B and Ella, the so-called ‘morning-after’ and ‘week-after’ pills.
That ‘contraceptive’ measure terminates pregnancy — code for starves to death — the baby, after a woman exercises her basic human right to choose to bonk anyone she wants anytime she wants.
Of course, the already forming embryo — that’s a baby everywhere else in the universe besides NOW, the Democratic Party and the MSM — doesn’t get a choice in any of this, b-b-b-but … slavery!
