Debate: CNN Sucks, but You Already Knew that…

GOP Presidential Debate In Simi ValleyIf the national GOP leadership actually cared about winning the presidency in 2016, last night would have come close to translating as an establishment disaster.

And CNN couldn’t have looked worse, if it had tried to create a GOP free-for-all and set back to watch the mud fly.

Wait. That is what CNN tried to do.

Anchor Jake Tapper might as well have just said at the beginning, We hate Donald Trump, tell us, candidates, how much do you hate Donald Trump?

Forty-four percent of the panel’s questions focused on Donald Trump, and the rest focused how out of touch Republicans are with acceptable liberal media memes.

When the smoked cleared, one candidate actually changed her fortunes and the rest just managed to stay alive.

Carly Fiorina came out of the box swinging and put herself on the map as a serious player, while Donald Trump… well, who knows how Donald Trump did? So far nothing he has said or done since he announced has registered negatively in his poll numbers.

And CNN’s best gotcha question of the night didn’t seem to fair much better.

In an obviously planned attempt to discredit the admittedly obnoxious front-runner, one of the moderators (Who cares which one?) asked Trump to explain his controversial position on mandatory vaccinations and their link to autism.

It backfired.

Before It’s News:

Stating that he’s in favor of the principle of vaccines, Trump explained, “But I want smaller doses over a longer period of time.”

Trump, like many informed pediatricians and parents, is extremely skeptical of the false promises claimed by the CDC and the vaccine industry it promotes.

Trump went on to tell a personal story on his experience with “vaccine-caused” autism.

Then, when that didn’t work, Jake Tapper tried to pull in Ben Carson for the save.

And that backfired.

“We are probably giving way too many in too short a period of time…”

And so the evening, and CNN’s abysmal impersonation of objective news outlet, went.

Oh, did I overlook Jeb Bush?

Yes. Yes, I did.

The questions were only to provoke negative interaction beteen candidates. The American people want to know how these polticians are going to help the working poor and what’s left of the middle class. You gives a crap about what candidats said about one another. CNN debate stunk.
