Yes, I’ve already lost too many friends in this election cycle because I refused to carry the anti-Trumpers’ water, but today I make no apologies.
I have never been particularly hot on Donald Trump, but neither have I been convinced that Ted is the selfless true-blue conservative I wanted him to be. And, frankly, you’d have to be desperate for friends to consider the man likeable.
I had hopes, but the doubts kept nagging away at my heels.
Hence, I continued to survey landscape searching in vain for someone I could get truly excited about, someone who was conservative enough to stand against the status quo and still not alienate large segments the American electorate.
I’m still looking.
That’s the bad news. The good news is that Hillary Clinton’s dog has trouble wagging its tail when she comes home from a long trip.
So, do I have to ask the next question?
Okay, here goes.
How in the world – and I’m speaking to you, Cruzers – how in the world can any conservative justify even four years under a woman who has been an unindicted co-conspirator in virtually every major political scandal over the last quarter century?
Humagate (Huma Abedin moonlighting scandal)
And we are not even halfway through the list.
In a perfect world, Hillary Clinton should be folding tighty whities in the Leavenworth laundry, next to a big diesel named Edna.
But I don’t really have to tell you that, do I?
How does Justice Barack Obama sound to you?
Last night Ted Cruz put the punctuation mark on what should have been a laudable campaign. Like many of you I wanted him to be the knight-errant of Constitutional conservatism for at least the next four years, but it is not to be. In the end Ted proved himself no different than Jeb Bush or Lindsey Graham or many of the political insiders who have pledged their support and are secretly trying to undermine their party’s nominee.
Hell, yes, I’ll vote for Donald Trump. And after Ted’s petty, self-serving, moment last night, I’m even a little excited at the prospect.

And I know your mothers didn’t either.
