John Kerry: ‘I was for working with Iran before I was against working with Iran…’

Oh dang. Someone gets an idea I said something totally insane, and before you know it John Kerry’s unpatriotic, or something…

Earlier [Katie Couric Interview]:

Secretary of State John Kerry cautiously signaled on Monday that the United States would be open to cooperating with Iran militarily in Iraq to beat back al Qaida-inspired fighters who pose an “existential” danger to that war-torn country and may look to target Europe and the United States…

Prodded on whether the United States would consider cooperating militarily with Iran, Kerry replied: “Let’s see what Iran might or might not be willing to do before we start making any pronouncements.”

But “I think we are open to any constructive process here that could minimize the violence, hold Iraq together — the integrity of the country — and eliminate the presence of outside terrorist forces that are ripping it apart,” the top U.S. diplomat told Couric.

“I wouldn’t rule out anything … [Yahoo!]

But now US Secretary of State and former Vietnam traitor veteran John Kerry is back to being against cooperating with the largest terrorist state in the Middle East, in fixing his boss’ monumental Iraq screw up.

CNN:

“What I said is we are interested in communicating with Iran to make clear that the Iranians know what we’re thinking and we know what they’re thinking and there’s a sharing of information so people aren’t making mistakes,” the secretary said.

The idea of the U.S. working with Iran would be a “head-scratcher,” he said. “No. We’re not sitting around contemplating if we’re going to do that. That’s not on the table.”

Of course, John Kerry didn’t actually mean ‘cooperate’ with the jihadists that have sworn to destroy the ‘Little Satan’ Israel from the face of the Earth before destroying the ‘Great Satan,’ the United States.

John Forbes Kerry would never deign to do anything so completely un-American as to denigrate the sacrifices of young service men and women who gave their all, by lending aid and support to a totalitarian regime that slaughters, maims and imprisons people who just want to be free.
