Woman Beheaded in Oklahoma

AP provided few details today on the Oklahoma man who lopped off a woman’s head and was working on a second when he was shot by a supervisor.

MOORE, Okla. (AP) — Police said Friday a man recently fired from a food processing plant in an Oklahoma City suburb beheaded a woman with a knife and was attacking another worker when he was shot and wounded by the owner of the company.

The 30-year-old man, who has not been charged, stabbed Colleen Hufford, 54, severing her head in Thursday’s attack at Vaughan Foods, Moore Police Sgt. Jeremy Lewis said.

Lewis said the man then stabbed Traci Johnson, 43, a number of times before being shot by Mark Vaughan, a reserve sheriff’s deputy and the company’s chief operating officer. [Yahoo]

Sky News reports that a woman at an Oklahoma food-processing plant was beheaded by a co-worker who had “recently started trying to convert colleagues to Islam.”

The attack occurred Thursday in Moore, Oklahoma. Alton Nolen, the 30 year-old suspect, was shot and stopped by the company’s Chief Operating Officer, a reserve deputy who happened to be armed.

KOCO reports that suspect was being fired from his job at the plant when the attack occurred, and that Nolen “was in the process of converting to the Muslim religion.” [read it all]

Don’t you just hate when you get your fundamentalist Christians mixed up with your newly converted Muslims?

Anyway, another successful attempt at hijacking the world’s most peaceful religion.
