Is Marco Rubio still holding out for a convention nomination, in spite of the fact that he is about as popular with the conservative base as an Ebola threat?
The Daily Beast’s Betsy Woodruff, Kirsten Powers from FOX News, Erica Grieder of Texas Monthly, and Chuck Johnson of GotNews all confirm Cruz’s deflection is misplaced.
Betsy Woodruff told MSNBC the story started with the Cruz Campaign.
The Cruz campaign reportedly knew for weeks, at least since January, about the allegations.
Kirsten Powers told FOX News someone else who was anti-Cruz AND anti-Trump was shopping the story.
“The Daily Beast reported it was shopped around by two — reporters by somebody who was a Rubio person. I also happen to know that one of the people who was shopping the story around very aggressively was somebody who was completely anti-Trump, and was anti-Cruz also, but who was not a person who in anyway was supporting Trump.”
At what point will journalists name the operatives?
Here is what we do know:
John Boehner is shopping Paul Ryan who has about as much chance of being elected as Boehner does waking up without a hangover.
And now this whole thing with Rubio smells to high heaven like Romney and the GOP fixers.
It is time for the Cruz campaign to quit taking the bait and realize that the RNC has no intention of seeing either him or Trump obtain the nomination.
WTFU, guys.
