As long as Brent Bozell doesn’t get a bunch of Democrats elected. Of course, RINOs for several years now have been using Rodney King’s can’t-we-all-just-get-along meme. Yeah, gagggggggg…
CNN:
Washington (CNN) – A conservative group is launching a new campaign which calls on “the GOP leadership in both the House and the Senate to step aside.”
ForAmerica told CNN that it’s putting six figures behind its “Dump the Leadership” campaign between now and November’s leadership elections.
The group says that its digital ads will target House Speaker John Boehner, Majority Leader Eric Cantor and Majority Whip Kevin McCarthy, as well as Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell and Minority Whip John Cornyn, and the group adds that the first paid spots are now up online.
“Time and again, year after year, the Republican leadership in the House and Senate has come to grassroots conservatives, and Tea Party supporters pleading for our money, our volunteers, our time, our energy and our votes,” said ForAmerica Chairman Brent Bozell in a statement to CNN. “In return they have repeatedly promised not just to stop the liberal assault on our freedoms and our national treasury, but to advance our conservative agenda. It’s been years. There is not a single conservative accomplishment this so-called ‘leadership’ can point to.”
ForAmerica, which describes itself as “an online army of over 4.5 million people,” is a conservative non-profit group which has often criticized congressional GOP leaders.
Here’s the RG’s take.
For 70-plus years, Establishment Republicans have compromised and legislated us out of a representative democracy. Their ineptitude and outright sellouts paved the way for LBJ’s disastrous Great Society and gave us the EPA, the departments of Education, Energy and Labor, and literally made China a superpower.
They lost virtually every House and Senate election for 45 years and with them the black Republican vote. They were a minority in Congress for so long that they literally forgot how to lead.
They tout their oh-so-civil disagreements with their “good friends” across the aisle, and cocktail with Chuck Schumer and Hillary Clinton while Democrats pick our pockets. Lindsey Graham alone has never known a liberal judge he doesn’t like.
Tell me, how is their go-along-to-get-along strategy working for you?
But the worst thing about Establishment Republicans is their purposeful public attacks on conservatives within their own party. Forget if you agree with Ted Cruz, or not, joining in with Democrats’ public ridicule of him and other conservatives is just plain stupid.
If Bozell can knockoff even one of these losers we will be better off, however, conservative Republicans must not concentrate on the Establishment to the detriment of the larger goal: destroying Democrats.
And by destroying, I mean in the nicest possible way.
