Another Rapist for Gun Control

Chicago, Il., poster city for Democrat’s war on the Second Amendment, has long denied almost everyone in the city except police officers from owning guns.

Which, of course, means almost everyone but police officers and gangbangers do not own guns.

The result has been one of the highest gun murder rates in the country.

But not to worry, conservatives, libertarians and all the rest of you inbred thumpers and clingers; the Windy City has taken quick action against its ever-mounting gun violence, as BearingArms.com explains:

On the streets, Richard Hernandez was supposed to stop violence as an “interrupter” in the celebrated CeaseFire program.

But Chicago cops have another name for him: rapist.

Hernandez faces 36 counts charging him with sexually assaulting and kidnapping a teenage girl while he worked for the program, the Chicago Sun-Times has learned. He’s among at least nine employees of the anti-violence program to face serious criminal charges in recent years. …

CeaseFire hired Hernandez despite his known involvement as the leader of a local gang and prior criminal convictions for drugs and weapons charges.

As the article notes, CeaseFire’s criminal employees have been arrested time and again for a variety of felony charges, to the point that authorities are wondering if the gun control group is merely a cover for criminal activity.

Police have long been suspicious about whether CeaseFire provides a cover for employees to commit crimes. They point to CeaseFire worker Sylvester Hudson, who was charged last year with selling heroin to a federal informant outside CeaseFire’s headquarters at UIC.

Wait. I know what you’re going to say. But who better could Chicago hire to ‘interrupt’ gun violence than someone who understands gang-ese? Huh? And anyone can, um, slip and fall off the freedom train now and then, or something.

Way to go, Chicago; you haven’t quite achieved 1960’s literati-level ‘radical chic,’ but Jack Abbott would’ve probably been proud of your effort.
