Rep. Raul Labrador Burns Down David Gregory

If you are David Gregory, whose ratings are already in the tank because, well, he is in the tank, Rep. Raul Labrador‘s new slogan for Meet the Press is probably the last thing you needed on this particular Sunday.

“Instead of, ‘If It’s Sunday, It’s Meet the Press,'” the Idaho Republican said, “it should be, ‘If it’s Sunday, it’s another Obama administration official making stuff up on Meet the Press.'”

Following an interview with Department of Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson, Representative Raul Labrador (R-ID) offered Meet the Press host David Gregory a new, Obama-era slogan for his show:

As I was listening to Secretary Johnson, I kept thinking you just need to change your slogan at the beginning of your show. Instead of ‘If it’s Sunday, it’s Meet the Press,’ it should be ‘If it’s Sunday, it’s another Obama administration official making stuff up on Meet the Press.’

Labrador accused Johnson of downplaying the number of minors expected to cross the border and misrepresenting the administration’s focus on border security.

Labrador went on to highlight the horrors children face traveling alone from Central America into Mexico and the U.S. border. “It’s really shameful,” Labrador said.

In rebutting Jeh Johnson’s claim, that the administration is stemming the tide of underage illegals, Labrador itemized the DHS secretary’s lies. He pointed out that the conditions that exist in Central America (and that the administration is claiming have suddenly created the recent mass exodus) have existed for decades.

“It’s over the last two years that you’ve seen an increase in children coming to the United States… Many of them are being raped, many are being harmed… this is an outrageous thing that’s happening to these children…”

And all because of Obama’s unlawful executive actions, which have had the effect of erecting signs facing south saying: FREE GOODIES, COME AND GET ‘EM!

Gregory, who never misses a chance to use “comprehensive” with the word “immigration,” went on to call Labrador—himself an immigrant—unrealistic and inhumane for wanting to immediately deport the children back to their countries of origin.

Which of course, without border security, which Democrats will do anything to prevent, is the only way to stem the tide.

You gotta wonder if George Soros is sending NBC a check to keep Gregory on the air.
