Holder Dodges Impeachment

That’s right, first black US attorney general and consiglieri for the nation’s largest on-going criminal enterprise, is stepping down.

Well drat, huh?

U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder will resign from his office as soon as a successor is found, NPR reported Thursday.

Despite being the fourth-longest serving AG in American history, Holder’s tenure has been marked by a variety of scandals, ranging from accused collusion with the Internal Revenue Service to target conservative groups to the notorious Fast and Furious gun-running scheme.

It may take a year or longer to find a successor, NPR reported, although one source told them that Holder desperately wants to leave before the president’s term is over. Their report also suggests a likely successor: Solicitor General Don Verrilli.

Holder is expected to make an official public statement sometime Thursday afternoon.

Guess betraying the public trust just ain’t what it used to be, eh, Eric?

Let’s look at some notable moments over the course of Eric Holder’s long tenure:

Holder was the first AG since the Jim Crow era to insinuate minorities are too stupid to have proper identification, thereby holding that voter ID laws are racist.

He was the first to moonlight as a gunrunner for the Mexican drug cartels, thus making him the only USAG to be complicit in the murders of at least two federal officers and more than 200 Mexican citizens.

He has aided and abetted human trafficking on the Southern border. Under Holder’s watchful eye, illegals have quadrupled from an estimated 11 million to 41 million. (I could go with a really good leaf-blower joke here, but it’s not so damned funny when you realize that hundreds, probably thousands, of children are being raped and sodomized as I write.)

Holder is the first AG since the civil rights era to introduce institutional racism — racism against white people — in the U.S., by ignoring the crimes of organizations like the New Black Panther Party and stoking the fires of racial discord in #Ferguson.

And Eric Holder is the first AG to openly support the illegal voter registration activities of groups like ACORN while conspiring with the Obama administration IRS to target conservatives.

It is probably too much to hope that AG Holder’s replacement will actually stand by his or her constitutional oath of office, but it is equally impossible to believe he or she could be anywhere nearly as creative in breaking it, either.
