What is this fixation the Wendy Davis campaign has with Gregg Abbott’s handicap? It no secret that character in the Texas Democratic Party was long ago buried deeper than Ma Richards’ lead-lined coffin, but this is about as low as it gets.
Laying aside the fact that Greg Abbott’s chair has nothing to do with his politics, the ads and accompanying attacks by Davis’ supporters are Pure-D stupid, to use an old Texas adage.
If anything, Abbott’s wheelchair is a testament to the GOP candidate’s fortitude and tenacity. Most of us cannot image the courage it takes for someone like Abbott just to get out of bed in the morning.
Yet Davis, it appears, cannot turn a corner without shooting herself in her ugly pink sneaker.
Wendy, Greg Abbott could have pointed out that that Mt. Pinatubo is trying to erupt on your left cheek, but he and his campaign handlers are obviously classier than the Regular Guy.
Okay, the Davis campaign is being run by morons, we get it, but there were red flags from the beginning.
From the artful reconstruction of her personal history to the constant attacks on Abbott’s physical disability Davis has shown herself to be a small, petty, effigy of the national Democratic Party in general.
While the GOP has been nothing to gloat about since Ronald Reagan went to the Big Ranch, liberal Democrats sink lower each year in their efforts to recreate a United States in the failed European model.
Yet, we should applaud Democrats every time they tap someone like Wendy Davis to promote their middleclass utopian lie. She is a walking sandwich board for the ethically and morally bankrupt party that is working to bankrupt us.
