…Like the Two Times Barack Won
Tuesday, I spent the afternoon reading and watching the pundits’ pregame on the President’s upcoming State of the Union, and, as always, wondered why we continue to interrupt our mindless reality TV programming for this sham.
If anyone really wants to know the state of the union, they can listen to Mark Levin, so that’s not it.
I kept thinking, What will be different this year from any of Barack Obama’s six previous SOTU speeches?
Maybe he could alter his atonal delivery and relieve us of that obnoxious droning cadence we hear every time he opens his mouth. Which is a lot.
Maybe he won’t talk about himself so much?
Chance of either, slim to none.
But I watched anyway, just to make sure Barack wouldn’t pull a fast one and actually say something that wasn’t either partisan, petty, or self-serving.
No, no, and no such luck, in that order.
Maybe the biggest take away from Tuesday’s SOTU is that someone at MSNBC finally noticed that Barack H. Obama is a delusional bore with no depth or substance.
“I think this is just a president untethered. He’s always thought it; now he’s saying it.”
Really, Joe?
The president just now started saying what he’s thought all along?
Well, I suppose some Romans didn’t listen to Nero, either, until they smelled the smoke and heard the fiddle.
