Pope Francis: ‘Grow, You Guys…’
What have we learned from the Pope’s visit, so far? I mean other than that John Boehner is back in his cups?
Really, there must be a reason we’ve been cast into the Outer Darkness of the high cable channels while this man preempts all other news programming for three days running. Right?
Yesterday we learned at least part of the answer: The Holy Father told Democrats and Republicans in Congress to help us grow as a nation. Whew! And not a moment too soon, I might add.

Well, that segment of the address was more for you Green Peace guys than the rest of us.
Okay, I will concede that Pope Francis is skillfully walking a tight rope by still supporting traditional marriage while sticking up for every other stinking liberal cause on the planet, but do we really need this?
Look, I respect my Catholic friends, but other than giving Shep Smith something to actually do at Fox News, is there a reason we non-Catholics have to suffer through 36 hours of not understanding a word this man says? Granted, Francis is about the only person left in the world who is still willing to stroke Barack Obama’s massive ego in marginal English, but still.
I don’t own a rosary, but by the end of yesterday I did find myself saying a prayer:
Dear God, please don’t tell Your representative on earth to extend his visit, to hold high mass for PeTA.
