UPDATE – I know, I know. Everyone outside of South Carolina thought we’d heard the last from Sen. Lindsey Graham for a while.
But he’s still out there entertaining the handful of people who don’t get the sudden urge to run for a porcelain receptacle when they hear his name.
And this time he’s suggesting a way to get rid of his nemesis Ted Cruz, once and for all.
South Carolina Republican Sen. Lindsay Graham aimed some jabs at the remaining GOP presidential candidates Thursday evening as he rebuked his party for going “bats**t crazy.”
While speaking at the Washington Press Club Foundation Dinner, Graham playfully threw insults at his former challengers for the GOP nomination while they appeared at the Republican debate in Houston, Texas. Graham, who had announced his bid for the 2016 presidential election in June 2015, dropped out of the race in December.
During his appearance at the dinner, Graham began his remarks by indicating that he’d like a stool to stand on so he could “be like Trump — huge!”
He then went on to criticize Democratic contender Hillary Clinton, saying that there is a good chance she could become president because his “party has gone bats**t crazy.”
“A good Republican would defend Ted Cruz after tonight. That ain’t happening,” Graham continued. “If you killed Ted Cruz on the floor of the Senate and the trial was in the Senate, nobody could convict you.” … [read it all]
And Senator Graham thinks this bodes well for the Senate, how? Have establishment Republicans voted themselves another perk we don’t know about?
I find it interesting that Senator Graham could approve Obama appointees Eric Holder, Loretta Lynch, Sonya Sotomayor and Elena Kagan with barely a concern for their socialist ideology.
And then jokes about the assassination of a conservative Republican on the U.S. Senate floor as though the very thought of such a thing is not reprehensible.
And he wonders why his “party has gone bats**t crazy”?

This is the most disgusting quote from Graham – being old enough to recall the horror of the murder of a US President – I cant’ imagine how Graham or his cohorts could find this funny – They must have a mighty fear of Ted Cruz. And they should. He seems to be one who does not suffer fools lightly. I hope American voters are beginning tof eel the same way.
He was speaking at a press club dinner so he was among friends. Lol
