RNC ‘Plan B’ – Mitt?

Marco must win Florida.

So say the Koch bros., or they’ll move on to Plan B.

Mitt Romney.

I know, huh? It’s as if they’ve already figured out that turning Fox News into the Marco Network probably isn’t going to work.

Insiders who were at a recent meeting between the Koch Bros. and Marco Rubio leaked intel on how exactly they’re going to try and steal the election from Donald Trump, GOP strategist Roger Stone revealed.

The Koch Bros. met with GOP millionaires and billionaires Thursday night to pool together over $75 million to stop Trump and are going to use Mitt Romney as ‘Plan B’ if Rubio fails to gain traction on Super Tuesday, according to moles who were inside the meeting.

“$75 million to stop Trump and $25 million to Marco Rubio, but they gave Rubio a condition: he’s got to win the Florida primary or he’s out and Mitt Romney’s in,” Stone revealed. “That’s the plan.” [read it all]

I’ve always kind of thought of InfoWars as the Cartoon Channel for rednecks, but if this is true then establishment Republicans are the ones who have gone Loony Tunes.

How does Mitt make sense as Plan B, when he got totally shtupped in 2012 as Plan A? Even Barack Obama has not made conservatives this delirious.

Frankly, I have had my own doubts about any of the Republican outsiders’ ability to win against Democrats in the fall, but the introduction of Mitt into this race at this late date – or any date, for that matter – has all the appeal of a Cowsills comeback.

Marco Rubio was once seen by virtually every conservative I know as a lock for a future RNC nomination. That was once upon a time. Before his Gang of Eight sellout seriously damaged him with the GOP base. That damage may be permanent, but he is certainly on life support for 2016.

But Mitt Romney as the RINO savior?

This is what happens when Karl Rove holds off his retirement for too long. If the RNC (and that is certainly who is behind it) goes through with this in any kind of concerted way, it will be 2012 on acid.

Whether the nominee is Trump or Cruz (and I think we all know which direction this is heading) it is time for the RNC establishment to cowboy up and deal with it.

The only good thing about the way the establishment is trying to thwart Trump, is that it’s giving him a six month heads-up on what Hillary will be saying.
