CNN is Still Hopeful…

That the Obama administration, or the Democrats, or anyone but you know who will still be in power at close of business tomorrow evening, that is.

I mean anything can happen you know?

Like Republicans could blow up, or something.

As the nation prepares for the peaceful transfer of power on Inauguration Day, CNN is dreaming up scenarios whereby the Obama administration can keep power if President-elect Donald Trump and Vice President-elect Mike Pence were blown up as they prepared to take to oath of office.

On the Wednesday, January 18 broadcast of CNN’s The Situation Room, host Wolf Blitzer aired a segment with a chyron featuring the headline “Developing Now.” During that “developing” segment, Blitzer and correspondent Brian Todd discussed what would happen if the unthinkable occurred on January 20.

Blitzer introduced the segment, saying, “What if an incoming president and his immediate successors were wiped out on day one?” and from there, CNN contributor Brian Todd took over to outline the line of succession if an attack blew up the inaugural dais, killing both Trump and Pence…. Well, it could happen. And what if Barack Obama develops a severe head cold and misses the whole thing, too?

The scenarios are endless of all the ways the will of the American people just might not work out and Wolf’s political party of choice can stay in power.

Get it? Like a Kiefer Sutherland script!

Think of it as a twofer:

First, Donald Trump would be dead. How cool would that be? I mean there is a God after all! Okay, let’s not get carried away, but we still have George Soros.

And there would be the added benefit of completely destroying the American free market system, instituting Rosie’s bat$#!+ crazy idea of martial law, and maybe even getting rid of those homophobic, pro-life Christian morons and taking away the bible-thumper’s guns.

What a deal, right?

Of course, it probably won’t happen, but Wolf and the crew at CNN can dream… Anything to make those boo-boos feel better. Can you imagine what the White House Correspondents Dinner would be like this year? No Trump, no cabinet, no… Maybe Megyn Kelly could do a routine…

If we could only figure out how to save more Democrats.
