The Dissembling of Trey Gowdy?
It’s already starting.
Trey Gowdy can probably handle the Left’s orchestrated attempts to destroy his reputation—Lord knows he’s nothing like that a**wipe Ken Starr—but it won’t be easy.
Liberals are masterful at orchestrating personal attacks on those who disagree with them. No, wait, they’re not. The mainstream media are just masterful at letting liberals get away with orchestrating personal attacks on those who disagree with them.
Here are a couple of the leads from just this week:

These kinds of attacks will trickle up down into the MSM in coming weeks; it’s where the New York Times and WaPo get their lede’s nowadays. It will become almost a mantra before they are finished: “crazy” “nutty” “bizarre” …
They did it to Dan Quayle, Sarah Palin, Michele Bachmann, Herman Cain and they’ve been trying to do it to Greg Abbott in Texas, although Wendy Davis and her cohorts are as dumb as a wheelbarrow-load of pine knots.
Establishment Republicans probably won’t reciprocate. Not because they’re above making personal attacks (albeit often on members of their own party), but because all too many of them would like to see Gowdy go away, with the rest of those tea party “wackobirds.”
Anyway, it has started, and how Gowdy responds to the attacks will seal his political fate and, more importantly, how we as a nation respond to the atrocities of evildoers. The RG has his fingers crossed.
For the record, we’ll stipulate that Rep Gowdy has the worst hair of any Republican east of the Mississippi, so we don’t have to bring that up again. I suggest going with the short Matt Damon look, bro. Speaking of dumb-as-a-box-of-rocks liberals.
Just to be fair, though, if Republicans get a bad hair guy, liberals should have one too.
I nominate Cornel West.
Oops! Because racist to mention any unattractive African American attribute even when previously mentioning an unattractive white attribute… and so forth…
