Gexit: Buh-Bye, George Will …

UPDATED – With the addition of George Will to Fox News Sunday with Chris Wallace and launching the very liberal Megyn Kelly into prime-time in 2013, one had to wonder how long Fox would remain the “fair and balanced” voice of record for the Right.

Yup, we’re back to Rush Limbaugh, Mark Levin and Laura Ingraham when we want to check conservative trends on the topics of the day.

But now at least the self-described “amiable, low-wattage atheist” Will can drop the pretense.

Of course he won’t, but if he had an honest bone in his liberal body, he would.

Will said, “I left it for the same reason I joined it in 1964 when I voted for Barry Goldwater, because I was a conservative. I leave for the same reason, I’m a conservative. …

Ah, yes, the default alibi for high treason against the conservative majority of the GOP – Ronald Reagan.

And what better way to alibi up than to break Reagan’s Eleventh Commandment?

I’ve always reluctantly used the term “RINO” to describe the Bushian GOP, for this very reason.

The Will’s, Krauthammer’s and Kristol’s of the Washington Beltway are the true Republicans; we, the base, are the ones who moved right.

Or do you think God foisted gay marriage, the EPA and NAFTA on us?

Of course I’m being hard on Mr. Will; I have always been a great admirer. Whenever I want to know who the Yankee’s second–string shortstop was in 1946, he’s my go-to guy. Why do guys who could never throw a baseball write books on baseball?

Never mind.

Are we tired yet?

Do we really need to point out that the most conservative person in this race who can possibly be elected is Donald Trump?

But silly me, for thinking a person with a genius IQ, a Pulitzer and a William F. Buckley haircut would know that electing a serial felon is a bad thing for the country.
